Thought for the Day: Psalm 23

Experience is the best teacher

David’s childhood was no different from that of many boys in Africa. He was the youngest in his family. As the youngest, he was assigned the care of sheep. Shepherds were, and still are, generally looked down upon in society. In this most beloved poem, David writes from this experience of a shepherd. Experience cannot be despised. The seemingly despicable experience may some day in the future surprisingly come handy in some very important work.
